FAQ
Why don't we use Group Calendar? I've been asked this question many times so I figured I'd answer it here for th e record. The simple answer is that I need to choose my battles. In the olden days I **used** to use Group Calendar and actually had a really hard time getting people to download it. As the raid frequency increased, I realized that it became easier to manage raids via the website calendar. Maybe Group Calendar has gotten better lately but I have not checked it recently. The thing is, even if we went to Group Calendar now id **still** find it difficult to get everyone to download it. Getting people to register/visit the website is sometimes difficult. So is getting everyone to download Group Calendar. Since they are both a pain to get people to do consistenly I figured I'll just stick to driving people to the website. At least that way, once people are consistently visiting the web site we can share other vital information. My suggestion is tha we use the website for raids but we can also use the WoW ingame calendar for more casual runs. In fact, I encourage people to use the ingame WoW calendar to set up heroic runs. Do we use DKP? No. Nor do we plan to. Thee is a whole separate section on the web site as to why we don't use DKP. Why do we have silly guld rank names? Currently, our guild rank names, are named after sharks. Bull, Tiger, Hammerhead, etc. They used to be even worse. Crusty, Moldy, Rancid, all the way up to Toe Jam. The names got worse as you got higher up. I was trying to make two points. The first being the higher up you get the more work you have to do, and the second being that I did not want us to take ourselves too seriously. What do our guild ranks mean? 1) Bull -> Probabtion
There is also a rank stuffed in between Bull and Tiger called the Cage. It really shoudl be at the bottom but is here to workaround a limitation with Blizzards guild ranks. The cage is this guilds version of the "Cone of Silence". How does the guild bank work? We have a very generous guild bank policy. The first two tabs are free stuff. The thrid tab is the 1/2 price tab It has a bunch of shards as well as any BoE raid drops. Guildies that purchase 1/2 price BoEs will be asked to equip them on the spot. The last tab is all raiding supplies. Critted provides free flasks to guildies on raids. This is where we store the flasks and the mats to make them. At the momement, we also have quite a bit of cash so we us that allow guildies to use funds from the gbank to repair. Note, the 1/2 price tab was introduced to **encourage** people to use the gbank. Do I like Brittny Spears? No, altho If you seek Amy is starting to grow on me.
