Code Of Conduct

This is our code of Conduct. Anyone that wants to join Oops should agree to this in principal. It is here for two reasons. The first is so we can establish a fun and healthy environment for all of us guildies to play in, and the second is so we can hold our head up in wow and have others respect our guild.

1) We agree to admit, and forgive mistakes.
2) We will not rage quit: This is sometimes very hard, so we will promise to count to 20 before rage quitting.
3) We will not ninja. For gear, this means never. Never need if you don't need. Never greed if it is not appropriate.
4) We will not ninja. When gathering resources it means that if someone else was there first let them have it. But don't be a sucker. If you both get there at the same time... go for it. Also if there are so many people competing for a resource that you would never get it unless you asserted your self it's also fair. I'm thinking specfically about Polishing Hodir's Helm.
6) We will represent. That means we will not embarrass ourselves or our guild with stupid comments in any chat.
7) We will remember that there is a human being on the other end of every chat.
8) We encourage clever and, even confrontational chat, but will not tolerate sexist, racist, or demeaning chat.
9) When someone else is being abusive, we will never lower ourselves to thier level.
10) We will remember that we were/are all n00bs at one time or another.
11)We don't recruite guildes from time zones where they can't raid with us effectivly (because it's not fair to them).
12)We will always listen to the raid leader. Even when he tells you not to use that favorite spell of yours.
13)We don't take advantage of other peoples gernerosity. This means we don't ask someone to spend 10 minutes helping you just to save 10 minutes of **your** time. That's not a fair trade off
14)We don't name our toons stupidly or offensivly; silly is fine.
15)We don't beg for money.
16)We will be free to remind each other of these rules and we will be flexible and ammend these rules as necessery.
17)If we have to kick someone for any reason we will do it "in person". We will talk to them and let them know why they are being let go. We won't just kick them while they are off line.
18) I'm thinking of adding this one but I'm not sure ... We will all agree to check out the website at least 1 a week.
19) And lastly, because I think it's so important I have to say it again: We agree to admit, and forgive mistakes.

Pretty much, if you are interested in joining our guild, you can expect us all to follow these rules. If you think about it, these rules are not that hard to follow, but if we all manage to do so it will reflect well on all of us. In fact, you don't really need to think of them as rules at all. Jut think of them as reminders.
